Hisar Heroes Overpower Sonipat Stars 40-24
Hisar Heroes delivered another commanding performance, defeating Sonipat Stars 40-24 on February 3 at the Sports University of Haryana, Rai. The 16-point win kept coach Jagdeep Singh's side firmly in the race for top spot on the Kabaddi Champions League table, backing up their earlier win over Faridabad Fighters.
Ashu Malik's raiding was once again the difference-maker, finding space repeatedly against a Sonipat Stars defence that had otherwise held its own against several of the league's stronger raiding units. Ayan Lochab kept Sonipat competitive in patches, but coach Ramesh Kumar's side couldn't match Hisar's intensity across the full 40 minutes.
For Hisar Heroes, the win extended their strong recovery from their first defeat of the season to Rohtak Royals, part of a run that would carry the team to five wins from seven league matches. For Sonipat Stars, the defeat was a reminder that their season, while genuinely competitive, still had room for improvement against the league's very best sides.
This result reinforced Hisar Heroes' position among the Kabaddi Champions League's most dangerous attacking teams heading into the business end of the league stage.
