Bhiwani Bulls Retain Devank Dalal and Sourav Sanjay for KCL Season 2

Bhiwani Bulls have retained Devank Dalal and Sourav Sanjay for Season 2 of the Kabaddi Champions League (KCL), keeping two key players from their run to the inaugural final. The decision gives the franchise a strong base as it chases the title it narrowly missed in Season 1.

Devank Dalal: The League’s Top Raider

Devank Dalal was the defining player of Season 1. Signed as the most expensive buy at the auction, he repaid the investment with a dominant campaign for Bhiwani Bulls. Across nine matches he attempted 220 raids, converted 139, and finished with 183 raid points at a raid strike rate of 83.2 percent, earning the Top Raider award. He added six Super Raids, eight Super 10 performances, 138 touch points, and 45 bonus points. He then carried that form to the national stage as part of India’s Asian Games 2026 squad, where India’s men won gold, and he described his selection as a deeply personal and family milestone and promised to give his all for the country. Retaining a player of that calibre is the most important piece of business the Bulls could have done.

Sourav Sanjay: A Reliable Second Option

Alongside Devank, the Bulls have kept Sourav Sanjay, who played all nine of the team’s matches in Season 1. He attempted 72 raids, converted 28, and scored 44 raid points at a raid strike rate of 61.1 percent, with three Super Raids and two Super 10 performances. His 39 touch points and five bonus points showed a raider who contributed steadily alongside the league’s top scorer. Having a dependable second attacking option takes pressure off Devank and makes the Bulls harder to defend against.

Finishing the Job

The Bulls reached the final in Season 1 but lost a close 32-30 contest to Rohtak Royals. Retaining two of their leading raiders keeps the core of that finalist team together, and new head coach Samsher Singh will build on it. The Bulls also have Hitesh, the Top Defender of Season 1, as part of the squad.

A Tougher Season Ahead

Season 2 will be more competitive, with ten franchises after the addition of Jhajjar Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights. The Bulls will face established sides including Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Panipat Panthers, Faridabad Fighters, and Hisar Heroes. With two retained raiders in place, the Bulls can approach the auction with a strong foundation.

What It Means for Bulls Fans

For Bhiwani supporters, the retentions are a welcome sign of ambition. Seeing the league’s Top Raider return, with an Asian Games gold medal behind him, will only raise expectations for a title challenge.
