Jind Jaguars Now Jhajjar Jaguars: KCL Announces Franchise Name Change

The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) has announced a name change for one of its two new Season 2 franchises. The team previously announced as Jind Jaguars will now be known as Jhajjar Jaguars. The franchise remains part of the league’s expanded ten-team line-up for Season 2, and the change applies to the team’s name and identity only.
What Is Changing
From now on, the franchise will compete in KCL under the name Jhajjar Jaguars. When the league announced Season 2 in September, it confirmed Jind Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights as its two new teams, taking the total to ten. That expansion still stands. Jhajjar Jaguars will take their place in the competition alongside Kurukshetra Knights, adding fresh rivalries and a new fan base to the league.
A New Identity for a New Franchise
Jhajjar is one of Haryana’s districts, and the new name ties the franchise to a community with a strong sporting tradition. For a team that has yet to play a match, the name will carry the franchise’s identity from its first season. Fans, players, and local supporters will now rally around Jhajjar Jaguars, and the franchise will build its brand from the ground up in the lead-up to the new season.
What It Means for the Season 2 Line-Up
The league’s ten franchises for Season 2 are Bhiwani Bulls, Rohtak Royals, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Panipat Panthers, Faridabad Fighters, Hisar Heroes, Kurukshetra Knights, and Jhajjar Jaguars. The franchise’s structure and its place in the competition are unchanged. Only the name is new.
Road to the Auction
With trials complete and auction preparations underway, Jhajjar Jaguars will soon begin building their squad. Fans can expect further announcements about the franchise in the coming weeks as KCL Season 2 moves closer.
