KCL Season 2 Sonipat Trials Successfully Held with Huge Turnout from Across Haryana

The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) has successfully conducted its Season 2 trials in Sonipat, with a huge number of players from across Haryana gathering at the Kabaddi Ground, Anup Sports Academy, Sonipat, on October 2, 2026, to compete for a place in the league's next chapter. Registration for the event began at 9 AM, and the strong turnout reflected the continuing momentum behind KCL's Season 2 selection process, following similarly successful trials earlier in Rohtak.

A Statewide Response to the Trial Call

Players travelled from different districts across Haryana to be part of the Sonipat trials, underlining just how widely KCL's reputation has spread since its debut season. The large gathering at Anup Sports Academy reflected the growing appetite among aspiring kabaddi talent to be part of a professional, structured league, with participants taken through a thorough evaluation process designed to assess raiding, defensive, and all-round ability in front of KCL's scouting and coaching staff.

Extremely High Morale Among Players

Conversations with many of the participants on the ground revealed a palpable sense of excitement throughout the day. Players spoke openly about how thrilled they were to be part of the Sonipat trials, with many expressing genuine enthusiasm not just for the event itself, but for KCL Season 2 as a whole. That energy on the ground reflected the broader anticipation building around the league's second edition, as players recognised the scale of opportunity now on offer.

Sonipat's Deep Kabaddi Connection

Sonipat's own kabaddi culture runs deep, and the city's link to KCL is already well established through Sonipat Stars, one of the franchises that competed in the league's inaugural Season 1 campaign. Hosting the trials at a dedicated kabaddi ground within Anup Sports Academy gave the event a fitting backdrop, allowing local talent to compete in an environment built specifically for the sport.

A Growing League, A Growing Opportunity

With KCL now expanding to ten franchises following the addition of Jind Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights, alongside established sides including Bhiwani Bulls, Rohtak Royals, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Panipat Panthers, Faridabad Fighters, and Hisar Heroes, the Sonipat trials added further depth to a talent pool that continues to grow with every trial stop across the state.

The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) is now moving steadily toward its Season 2 auction, with preparations in full swing and a palpable sense of excitement building across the league. With trials now complete, the entire KCL team is gearing up to make the upcoming auction a truly remarkable event, marking the next major milestone on the road to the league's second edition.

Trials Successfully Behind Them

The completion of trials brings an important phase of Season 2 preparations to a close. Across venues including the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in Rohtak and Anup Sports Academy in Sonipat, KCL saw a huge turnout of players from across Haryana, each hoping to earn a place in the league's expanding player pool. That strong response across multiple trial locations has given KCL a wide and competitive talent base to draw from as the league prepares for its next big step.

Building Toward a Landmark Auction

With trials complete, attention now shifts firmly to the KCL Season 2 auction, where franchises will assemble their squads from the pool of players identified through the recent selection process. The scale of this auction promises to be bigger than ever, with the league having expanded to ten franchises following the addition of Jind Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights, joining established sides such as Bhiwani Bulls, Rohtak Royals, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Panipat Panthers, Faridabad Fighters, and Hisar Heroes.

A Team Working with Purpose

Behind the scenes, the entire KCL organisation is channelling its energy into ensuring the Season 2 auction lives up to the scale and ambition the league has built since its debut year. The excitement within the team mirrors the enthusiasm seen on the ground during trials, where players across Haryana showed genuine passion for the opportunity KCL represents. That same spirit is now being carried forward into the planning of what promises to be a landmark auction for the league's second season.

A Natural Next Step After a Successful Season 1

The move toward the Season 2 auction builds directly on the foundation laid during Season 1, which culminated in Rohtak Royals being crowned champions and saw several KCL players go on to represent India at the Asian Games 2026. With that track record behind it, KCL's Season 2 auction carries heightened expectations, both for the quality of talent on offer and for the competitive intensity it is likely to generate among franchises.
