Kunal Saluja Named Auctioneer for Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) Season 2

The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) has named Kunal Saluja as the auctioneer for its Season 2 player auction. The event takes place on October 17, 2026, from 10:30 AM onwards, and Saluja will be the person on the rostrum bringing down the hammer as ten franchises compete for the players they need.

The Man with the Hammer

The auctioneer is the central figure of any player auction. He opens the bidding on each player, calls out the rising offers, and decides the moment a player is sold. A clear voice, quick judgement, and a steady sense of pace are all essential, because the auctioneer sets the rhythm of the whole day. With more than 300 players expected to go under the hammer, Kunal Saluja’s role will be central to keeping the auction moving smoothly and building the tension that makes bidding exciting for fans.

A Day Built Around Big Moments

Season 2’s auction pool is the largest KCL has assembled. The central trials in Sonipat and Rohtak drew more than 6,000 registrations, and the auction is expected to feature Asian Games gold medallists and India national team members alongside emerging talent. Franchises will bid within the Season 2 purse of ₹5 crore, up from ₹4 crore in Season 1. When two franchises want the same player, the contest between them will play out in front of the auctioneer, and that is where the day’s biggest moments are likely to come from.

Working with the Host

Kunal Saluja will work alongside auction host Vishwas Chauhan, who will guide viewers through the day. Together they will carry the live broadcast, with the host helping fans follow the story and the auctioneer driving the bidding.

Ten Franchises, One Room

All ten teams will bid: Bhiwani Bulls, Rohtak Royals, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Panipat Panthers, Faridabad Fighters, Hisar Heroes, Kurukshetra Knights, and Jhajjar Jaguars. Several have already retained key players and appointed head coaches, so the auction is their chance to complete their squads.

How to Watch

Fans can watch the auction live from 10:30 AM on October 17 on the Kabaddi Champions League YouTube channel, Waves OTT, and ZEE5.
