Panipat Panthers Retain Vishal Narwal and Narender Kandola for KCL Season 2

Panipat Panthers have retained Vishal Narwal and Narender Kandola for Season 2 of the Kabaddi Champions League (KCL), securing two key members of their squad ahead of the new campaign. The decision gives the franchise a stable base as it prepares for a larger, more competitive season.

Narender Kandola: The Two-Way Threat

Narender Kandola was one of the most versatile performers of Season 1. Across eight matches for Panipat Panthers, he attempted 113 raids and converted 57 of them, finishing with 78 raid points at a raid strike rate of 69.0 percent, among the best conversion rates of any frontline raider in the league. He added four Super Raids, four Super 10 performances, 60 touch points, and 18 bonus points to his tally. What set him apart was his contribution on defence, where he made 23 tackle attempts and converted nine of them for nine tackle points. Few players in KCL combined real raiding output with genuine tackling involvement in the same season, and retaining him keeps that flexibility in the squad.

Vishal Narwal: Strengthening the Core

Alongside Narender Kandola, the Panthers have retained Vishal Narwal, giving the squad another familiar face to anchor the team in Season 2. Keeping established players together helps a franchise build understanding on the mat, and continuity in the core is a valuable asset when the league is about to grow in size and intensity.

Continuity Under Randeep Dalal

Both players will continue under head coach Randeep Dalal, who also remains at the helm for Season 2. Retaining the head coach alongside key players gives Panipat Panthers a consistent tactical foundation, so the squad can focus on improving instead of rebuilding.

A Tougher Season Ahead

Season 2 will be more demanding, with ten franchises competing after the addition of Jhajjar Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights. The Panthers will face established sides including Rohtak Royals, Bhiwani Bulls, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Faridabad Fighters, and Hisar Heroes. With two retained players in place, the franchise can head into the auction with a solid foundation and clear targets for the rest of the squad.

What It Means for Panthers Fans

For Panipat supporters, the retentions are a welcome signal of stability and ambition. Narender Kandola’s all-round game and Vishal Narwal’s presence give fans familiar names to follow as the new season approaches.
