ShubhGrow Hisar Heroes Name Vinod Kumar as Head Coach for KCL Season 2

ShubhGrow Hisar Heroes have announced Vinod Kumar as their head coach for Season 2 of the Kabaddi Champions League (KCL). The appointment marks a new chapter for the franchise, which enters its second season looking to build on a strong debut campaign and keep growing under the leadership of owner Rajesh Rathee.

A New Voice on the Sidelines

Vinod Kumar takes charge of Hisar Heroes at an important moment for the franchise. In Season 1, the Heroes built their identity around fearless, high-volume raiding, led by Ashu Malik, who went on to represent India at the Asian Games 2026. The new head coach inherits a squad culture built on confidence and competitive intent, along with the task of adding tactical sharpness as the team prepares for a larger, tougher ten-team league.

Backing a Long-Term Vision

The appointment fits the philosophy Rajesh Rathee has described for the franchise, which treats Hisar Heroes as a multi-season project rather than a short-term venture. Investing in strong coaching is central to that vision, which values discipline, mat intelligence, and developing players as well as results. By bringing in Vinod Kumar, ShubhGrow Hisar Heroes show their commitment to building a lasting sporting institution rooted in Hisar and the wider Haryana kabaddi community.

Preparing for a Bigger Season 2

Season 2 will be considerably more competitive, with Jind Jaguars and Kurukshetra Knights joining the league alongside established sides including Bhiwani Bulls, Rohtak Royals, Karnal Kings, Gurugram Gurus, Sonipat Stars, Panipat Panthers, and Faridabad Fighters. With trials complete and the auction approaching, the head coach’s role in shaping the squad is more important than ever. Vinod Kumar will work closely with the franchise management to identify the players who best fit his tactical plans, and the Heroes will want to combine proven performers with fresh talent from the recent trials.

What It Means for Hisar Heroes Fans

For supporters, the appointment brings fresh anticipation. A new coach means new ideas, and a squad that finished its debut season among the competitive sides will want to push further. Fans can expect Hisar Heroes to approach the new season with clear intent.
